Frontier Geosciences Inc. offers comprehensive geophysical consulting and survey services to the mineral exploration, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, groundwater and environmental communities on a worldwide basis.

The company was established in 1985 to offer comprehensive geophysical consulting and survey services to the geotechnical engineering, groundwater, environmental and mineral exploration communities. The company staff of ten geophysicists have completed over a thousand projects in climates and terrains as diverse as arctic tundra to tropical rain forest. These investigations involved the application of methods drawn from the full range of geophysical techniques that include land and marine seismic methods, electromagnetic, resistivity, ground penetrating radar, borehole, induced polarization, gravity and magnetic methods. These surveys have been carried out for identification of buried surfaces, buried metals, soil and rock types, groundwater and groundwater contaminants, bedrock and permafrost in support of geotechnical studies, dam site and corridor studies, groundwater and environmental investigations and mineral exploration.

We maintain the objective of remaining current with technological changes in the geophysical and data processing fields. New developments in geophysical instrumentation, computers and software are continually evaluated to meet this objective. An ongoing program of in-house software development is also underway with many software programs currently in use including a variety of modelling programs, and false colour presentation of geophysical data in profile or planimetric form.

Frontier Geosciences Inc. has been active in research into equipment for geophysical studies that include crosshole seismic surveying and shear wave seismic reflection surveying as an Industrial Partner with the Geological Survey of Canada.
